Founded in 1964, Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute is a public community and technical college with a main campus of approximately 103 acres, serving Caldwell and Watauga counties, with approximately 3,800 students, offering more than 100 associate degree, diploma and certificate programs in nursing, engineering, information technology, crafts and public services, with a student-faculty ratio of approximately 14:1, and the sports team "Cobras" participates in NJCAA competitions.
