Canisius University, located in Buffalo, New York, was founded in 1870 by the German Jesuits as a private Catholic Jesuit university. The campus occupies approximately 72 acres and has a student body of approximately 2,600 students, with a student-to-faculty ratio of approximately 11:1 and all courses taught by full-time faculty.
