Concordia University Irvine is a private Lutheran university located in Irvine, California, USA. Founded in 1976 as Christ College Irvine, it joined the Concordia University system in 1993 and currently enrolls nearly 5,000 students in undergraduate, graduate and online programs. The 70-acre campus offers an interdisciplinary liberal and professional education that emphasizes “small class sizes” and “faith-guided learning” and promotes the educational mission of “developing wisdom, character, and integrity”. “CUI is home to the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Business, the College of Education, and the College of Health and Human Sciences, which offer a wide range of professional options and are known for their safe campus environment and global education. Students participate in NCAA Division II athletics, and the varsity teams, nicknamed the “Golden Eagles,” are active in several sports.
