Overview

Cornerstone University is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA, and was founded in 1941 under the name Baptist Bible Institute. It was renamed to its current name in 1999 and is a private evangelical Christian university. The campus spans approximately 130 acres and houses multiple schools and departments, including the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business, the School of Education, the School of Health Sciences, and the School of Theology. It offers over 70 undergraduate programs and more than a dozen graduate and doctoral programs, as well as a Theological Seminary and an Online College. The student-to-faculty ratio is approximately 13:1, with a focus on integrating faith into the academic experience through small class sizes. Additionally, students have opportunities to participate in local and global service projects and internships, fostering leadership skills and professional competence. The university's athletic teams, the “Golden Eagles,” compete in the NAIA conference, and campus life is vibrant. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is highly regarded for its combination of academic excellence and Christian faith-based education.
