McNeese State University is located in Lake Charles, Louisiana. It was founded in 1939 and is a public regional university. The main campus is 122 acres and includes a sports complex, farm and research center. It has six colleges including agricultural business education, engineering, and nursing, and offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs.
