Ringling College of Art and Design is a private art college located in Sarasota, Florida, USA. It was founded in 1931 by Dr. Ludd M. Spivey and John Ringling. The college has operated independently since 1933 and is currently accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) as a four-year undergraduate institution. RCAD offers 11 Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and 2 Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree programs, covering fields such as computer animation, film, game art, illustration, graphic design, motion design, photography, and virtual reality. Among these, the computer animation program is ranked first in the United States, and the illustration program is among the top in the Southern region.
