Founded in 1933, Union College of Union County, NJ is the oldest public community college in New Jersey and is located in Cranford with campuses in Elizabeth, Plainfield, and Scotch Plains. The college offers more than 80 associate degree and certificate programs in the liberal arts, business, engineering, and nursing at a tuition rate of approximately $9,500. The school focuses on academic and career development and has an American Honors Program to help students successfully transfer to four-year colleges.
