Overview

Founded in 1868, the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater is a comprehensive public university within the University of Wisconsin system. The main campus is located in Whitewater, and there is also a Lake County branch. In the fall semester, there are about 11,600 students (about 10,000 undergraduates and about 1,600 graduate students). The school has a business school, a school of education, a college of liberal arts, and a school of arts and communications, offering 47 undergraduate majors and 13 graduate majors. The campus covers an area of 400 acres, focuses on small class teaching and career orientation, and the employment rate of graduates is as high as 98-99%. The Warhawks is its sports team, participating in the NCAA Division III league and has won many championships
