Overview

Wake Technical Community College (Wake Tech), located in Raleigh, North Carolina, is the largest community college in the state and was founded in 1958. The school is affiliated with the North Carolina Community College System and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Wake Tech currently operates seven campuses, two training centers, and multiple community learning sites, serving more than 72,000 students annually. The school offers more than 250 associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs in liberal arts, nursing, information technology, business, public safety, and other fields, aiming to provide students with a path to university transfer or direct employment. More than half of the courses can be completed entirely online to meet the needs of different students.
